THE BARN
Originally built in 1859, Wick Bottom Barn was once at the heart of a working farm — full of hay, grain, and the quiet rhythm of rural life.
Today, after a sensitive and beautifully considered renovation, it stands ready for a new kind of gathering. Retaining all of its original character — thick stone walls, soaring beams, and hand-crafted timber cladding — the barn now also benefits from thoughtful updates: new floors, glazed entrances, stone tiled flooring, complete roof insulation, heating and improved lighting throughout. It’s everything you want from a barn — with none of the draughts.
Double-height and full of natural light, the space can be styled in endless ways. Whether you’re dreaming of long candlelit tables, a statement dance floor, or an indoor ceremony with a countryside view, it’s all possible here.
DRY HIRE
At Wick Bottom Barn, your event is truly your own. We are proudly a dry hire venue, which means you’re free to curate your day exactly as you want it — from the caterers and flowers to the furniture, lighting and layout.

You’ll have exclusive access to the barn and grounds for the duration of your hire, and the flexibility to bring your own team, or build one with our guidance. No restrictive packages. No corkage charges. Just space to create something unforgettable.

We’re always here to support you with planning advice, trusted recommendations, and a good strong coffee if needed — but the vision is all yours.

Step outside and you’ll find our perfectly positioned lawns — surrounded by open countryside, wild hedgerows and big skies. The space is ideal for an outdoor ceremony, lawn games, a stretch tent, fire pits, or even a drinks reception beneath the trees.

The lawns flow seamlessly from the barn, offering a beautiful, natural extension to your event. As the light shifts and the sun sets over the valley, there’s nowhere quite like it.
